Language Scientific Vendor Referral Program

To apply to work with Language Scientific, a linguist must meet the following criteria:

  • Education or experience in the designated subject matter. A degree in a scientific, medical, or technical field is preferred and for many projects is a requirement.
  • Native to the target language

As well as fit at least one of the following requirements:

  • Have graduated from a program in the translation field at an institution of higher education, or
  • Have graduated from a program in any other field at an institution of higher education in addition to at least two years of full-time professional experience as a translator, or
  • Have at least five years of full-time professional experience as a translator

Currently, we are seeking linguists to work with the following subject matters/ language pairs:

Life Sciences, medical device content

  • English > Danish
  • English > Dutch
  • English > Finnish
  • English > Norwegian
  • English > Swedish

Patient medical reports. For the following language pairs we can consider linguists native to the Source language as well as those that are native to English:

  • Afrikaans > English
  • Catalan  > English
  • Simplified Chinese > English
  • Traditional Chinese > English
  • Hebrew > English
  • Vietnamese > English

This list will be periodically updated to reflect any changes in our recruiting needs. In the event that we receive a robust response in a given language pair and subject matter, we may need to discontinue accepting new applicants for those projects.
