Our leadership

Chief Executive Officer

Sharon Blank

Sharon Blank has served as Language Scientific’s CEO since 2015, leading the company’s strategic direction, growth and operations. Her role includes overseeing company-wide initiatives involving our subject-matter experts and linguists, advanced language technology and rigorous quality processes.

Prior to joining Language Scientific, Sharon was Vice President of Sales and Operations for BCC Research, a provider of custom research and data analytics services. Sharon’s background is in lab science; she holds a Biology degree from the University of Maryland and worked as an Environmental Chemist before moving to the business side of the sci-tech sector. Sharon also serves as CEO of our subsidiary, RxTran.

Founder

Leonid Fridman

Leonid Fridman’s ideas are the engine behind Language Scientific, and our subsidiary, RxTran. A multi-passionate language and technology enthusiast with undergraduate and graduate Math degrees from Harvard, Leonid’s frustration with inaccurate translations while working on a nuclear non-proliferation project for the U.S. Department of Energy gave rise to the company that Language Scientific is today.

Leonid’s expertise in natural language processing, cognitive science, artificial intelligence (long before ChatGPT!) and machine translation has driven Language Scientific to its current market-leader status in the scientific translation sector.
