With each new project, Language Scientific assigns a dedicated project manager as your single point of contact. Our project managers take the time to understand your requirements, style and communication strategy and ask for your input throughout the translation process.
Selecting top-notch technical translators, matching them with appropriate projects, and taking time to understand your needs is not sufficient to produce consistently excellent translations. To minimize the chances of an error or omission, we require that three pairs of expert eyes look at the translation from the beginning to the end: translator, editor and proofreader. We have a network of civil engineers, transportation engineers, city planners and transportation-based professionals for each language who are also native speakers and language professionals. For example, for a transit project we would have transportation engineers that specialize in urban transportation performing the translations.
All Language Scientific translators and interpreters hold advanced science, technical, or engineering degrees and have extensive professional work experience—not just translation experience—in their subject areas of expertise. Engineering and technical material is localized and edited by professionals with BS, MS, or PhD degrees in each pertinent subject area; engineering and technical material is translated by the appropriate technical resources.
For example, your consent and complaint forms and written notices in French will be translated and edited by French transportation engineers who happen to be professional translators, not by translators who majored in English literature in a French university and have picked up whatever transportation knowledge they need while doing translation. All translators are native speakers of the target language and translate only into their native language.
