When you need to speak with a non-English speaker, call the provided telephone interpreting number, input your access code and PIN, and then select the language you need. You will connect with an interpreter in that language in a few seconds.

For strict privacy reasons, Language Scientific does not record any calls.

Our linguists sign strict confidentiality agreements and have been through a rigorous vetting process. Language Scientific is both HIPAA and GDPR-compliant.

With Language Scientific’s on-demand phone interpreting all you need is a phone with a good connection.

When the interpreter joins the call, start by introducing them to the non-English speaker. Explain that the interpreter is here only to interpret what each of us says and will not give advice or share personal opinions.

Make sure to speak clearly, use short sentences, and pause often so the interpreter has time to repeat my words. If you need to say something longer, it is advised to break it into smaller parts.

At the end of the conversation, thank the interpreter for their assistance and let them know that the call is ending.

Language Scientific phone interpreting is charged on a per-minute basis. We will quote you a rate per minute, which is the same irrespective of the language, time of day, or day of the week.
