  • Quickly resolve urgent questions from study sites, such as inclusion/exclusion
criteria, protocol clarification, etc. as needed without delays.

Always Available, 24/7/365

Your global sites never wait for support. We staff helpline interpreting services around the clock, ensuring urgent protocol or eligibility questions are addressed immediately or escalated per study requirements.
Per the project expectations, urgent calls are transferred to on-call physicians within minutes, with non-urgent requests routed appropriately

Immediate Multilingual Support

When a site calls the Helpline, Language Scientific triages the call, opens a ticket, and, if language support is needed connects a medically trained interpreter directly to the line. Our interpreters have strong medical knowledge and familiarity with study-specific lexicons provided by the sponsor or client, ensuring high-risk clinical discussions are handled accurately and confidentially

End-to-End Call Management (We Stay on the Line)

Language Scientific does not simply connect calls—we actively manage them end to end.
Our team:

  • Answers, triages, and documents each call

  • Connects the appropriate interpreter

  • Dials out to on-call physicians (two immediate attempts)

  • Stays on the line until site staff and the physician are fully connected

  • Sends contact summary details within 15 minutes of call completion

This ensures no dropped handoffs, no confusion, and full auditability for every interaction

How It Works?

1. Multilingual Call Intake

Site staff call their country-specific number provided by Language Scientific.
We open a Call Center ticket, collect required details, and connect a medical interpreter if needed. This ensures language is never a barrier to urgent clinical decisions.

2. Direct Outreach to On-Call Physicians

Language Scientific places two immediate attempts to reach the appropriate on-call DCRI physician and remains on the line until all parties are connected. If a callback is required, we track and manage that workflow as well.

3. Real-Time Documentation

We complete and deliver Contact Summary Forms within 15 minutes, and DCRI finalizes them for reporting and audit purposes. We also summarize monthly metrics and issue tracking to support the sponsor’s oversight requirements.

4. Coverage for Email-Based Helpline Support

When email inquiries are received, we route and document them through the same summary and accountability process, ensuring traceability of all non-urgent clinical questions.

Phone Interpreting FAQs

When you need to speak with a non-English speaker, call the provided telephone interpreting number, input your access code and PIN, and then select the language you need. You will connect with an interpreter in that language in a few seconds.

Contact us at info@languagescientific.com, and we’ll create an interpreting account for you – typically by the next business day.

For strict privacy reasons, Language Scientific does not record any calls.

Our linguists sign strict confidentiality agreements and have been through a rigorous vetting process. Language Scientific is both HIPAA and GDPR-compliant.

With Language Scientific’s on-demand phone interpreting all you need is a phone with a good connection.

When the interpreter joins the call, start by introducing them to the non-English speaker. Explain that the interpreter is here only to interpret what each of us says and will not give advice or share personal opinions.

Make sure to speak clearly, use short sentences, and pause often so the interpreter has time to repeat my words. If you need to say something longer, it is advised to break it into smaller parts.

At the end of the conversation, thank the interpreter for their assistance and let them know that the call is ending.

Language Scientific phone interpreting is charged on a per-minute basis. We will quote you a rate per minute, which is the same irrespective of the language, time of day, or day of the week.
